I highly recommend you invest in a couple of different plates for your baby. Here is what I learned after buying a lot of the wrong baby feeding supplies.
Right when you are introducing solid foods to your baby, you can use whatever plate you prefer. Make sure not to leave plates within reach of your baby, especially if they are breakable.
It’s amazing how long a baby’s hand can stretch out when he or she wants something. It almost like they are Go-Go-Gadjet and stretch across a whole table. I’ve seen it!  ☺
As your child moves on from being fed by you to self-feeding, I would recommend purchasing some suction plates and/or trays that allow you to attach the plate and/or tray to the table. If you have a wood table with grooves, these trays might not stick. We still have some great recommendations for you.
It’s important to take the pressure off mealtime and these fun trays can help set the stage for mealtime.
