It seems like there are a million varieties of bibs. How is a parent to decide which one to buy?
Here is what I learned after buying a lot of the wrong baby feeding supplies including bibs!
Bibs come in all shapes and sizes and all types of fabrics.
Pelican bibs have a pocket at the bottom to catch the food in as it falls. I can’t recommend these types of bibs enough! Look for ones that can be wiped off easily. These bibs stopped so much food from falling on the floor, so it was less clean up for me đŸ˜‰
I also recommend finding bibs that are fastened with a button and not Velcro. Not all kids try to rip off their bibs, but some do. My twins did. The ones fastened with buttons became the most coveted in our home.
When a baby learns to self-feed it can get messy! And, you want it too. Babies learn and get better at feeding themselves only with practice. Babies also learn a number of eating developmental skills by getting messy.
Overtime, I found the pelican bibs to be the best option since it really helped catch most of the food before it fell on my kid’s lap and floor. Less clean up for me đŸ˜‰
