A Healthier Version of Sugary, Pineapple Desserts
If you’ve ever had Disney’s pineapple dole whip, you know it can be addicting! The same can be said for that delicious pineapple upside down cake. While neither of these pineapple desserts is particularly healthy, we thought we could come up with a copycat recipe that’s healthier and satisfies your taste buds. Find the full recipe here.
This version is a much healthier version of Disney’s recipe. If you’ve got super ripe pineapple, feel free to skip the honey. Really ripened fruit tastes sweeter and you can often skip that step. This dessert is also great because it’s dairy free and uses dairy substitutes like coconut milk (or almond if you like that better.)
Don’t forget to freeze (at least 4 hours) your pineapple chunks first before making this yummy dessert.
